DoorDash says the tools restaurants use to know their guests often do not work together, so a guest who orders on the marketplace, books a table and joins the loyalty program can look like three customers. On September 30, DoorDash introduced DashOS to connect those interactions into one customer record. The company says it works behind the scenes across Marketplace, direct ordering, reservations, loyalty, guest management and marketing, without requiring restaurants to adopt a separate system.

What DoorDash announced

DashOS connects a customer’s interactions with the same restaurant across channels, whether the guest orders on DoorDash or directly, joins the restaurant’s loyalty program, makes a reservation or dines in. DoorDash describes three initial areas: driving more sales, building stronger customer relationships and reducing manual work.

The release attaches figures to each area, all from DoorDash’s own tests and data. In a DoorDash test between July and August 2026, AI-personalized restaurant recommendations increased total reservations by more than 15% compared with consumers who were not shown them. SevenRooms marketing tools, which now use blinded, aggregated DoorDash Marketplace insights, have helped restaurants generate more than $150 million in sales so far this year, based on SevenRooms data from January through August 2026. Consumers enrolled in DoorDash’s omnichannel loyalty program order 1.8 times as often and spend about 1.75 times as much as those who have not opted in, based on Marketplace data from August 2025 through August 2026. SevenRooms Voice AI has helped restaurants generate more than $10,000 in monthly revenue on average, per SevenRooms data for July and August 2026.

On integrations, DoorDash is deepening ties with Clover from Fiserv, Qu, Checkmate, Chowly, Deliverect, Stream and Urban Piper. Beginning in 2027, DoorDash plans to give 80,000+ restaurants on those systems more ways to use SevenRooms guest profiles and Online Ordering, In-Store Rewards and Omnichannel Loyalty. Robert Clarkson, Chief Revenue Officer, SMB and Clover at Fiserv, said, “Restaurant operators shouldn’t have to choose between running their business and managing disconnected technology systems.”

Why it matters to F&B technology leaders

The release cites a 2026 Industry Trends Report in which 40% of surveyed US operators manage four to five separate technology systems and 83% believe better-connected systems would directly improve their profitability. DoorDash says DashOS is built to close that gap, and DoorDash Marketplace is where, in the company’s words, millions of people discover restaurants every day. For a multi-unit operator or a hotel group with several restaurants, the practical question is which system holds the master guest record.

That question has consequences for a technology stack. If DashOS holds the guest profile, the restaurant’s POS, reservation book and email platform either feed it or compete with it. Operators can ask for the data model in writing: which fields flow in each direction, who owns the combined profile, and what happens to it if the restaurant stops using DoorDash products. The release says DashOS uses “blinded, aggregated DoorDash Marketplace insights” in the SevenRooms marketing tools, so buyers can also ask what a restaurant can see about a guest who first arrived through the marketplace.

The loyalty figures come with a built-in condition. The 1.8 times and 1.75 times comparisons are between consumers who enrolled and those who did not, and people who opt into a loyalty program may already differ from those who do not. Operators can ask DoorDash for results from restaurants of their size and format, and treat the 15% reservation lift as a result from one test period.

What is not yet public

The release does not state pricing or an availability schedule for DashOS itself. The integration expansion starts in 2027, so a restaurant on one of the named POS or middleware systems should confirm which DashOS features it can use now and which wait for that rollout. The release names seven integrations and says more will follow, so a hotel F&B team on another POS platform has no commitment to rely on yet.
