Blastness, an Italian provider of technology for hotel distribution and revenue, has launched BlastnessPay with Adyen, moving hotel payment handling into its Central Reservation System.

What happened

According to Blastness’s announcement, BlastnessPay manages online and in-person payments from one environment. It applies each hotel’s payment deadlines and policies to collections, pre-authorisations and refunds, and it automates the virtual credit cards that OTAs send. Hotels can set up rate products with payment in instalments. The release says the product integrates with the main PMSs, naming Oracle Hospitality OPERA as the example, and has run at several Italian hotels for months. Blastness will present it officially at the TTG trade fair in Rimini from 14 to 16 October 2026.

Why it matters

Deposits, final payments and OTA virtual cards are tracked by hand at many properties. Blastness estimates a saving of about 7 minutes per transaction. Its own calculation, based on hotels already using the system, puts a seasonal 150-room hotel at more than 6,400 deposit and final-payment transactions a year and more than 90 person-days recovered. These are vendor figures, not independent measurements. The release also cites Adyen’s Hospitality & Travel Report 2025, in which 35% of the Italian accommodation facilities surveyed recorded a significant increase in attempted fraud over the previous year.

What it means for operators

Independents and groups that run deposits and OTA card collection manually have a concrete comparison to make against whatever their reservation system already does. Vendors keep taking on adjacent jobs: SiteMinder’s Dynamic Commerce Engine covers pricing and distribution, and Accor named Mews the first partner in its F&B technology program. Buyers evaluating BlastnessPay should ask which PMS integrations beyond OPERA are live today, because the release names only that one.
