Hilton launched High Performance Meetings on November 2, a wellness framework for meetings and events that its hotels can add to group programs. Hilton developed it with TIGNUM, a human performance consulting firm.

According to Hilton’s announcement, the framework covers three stages of an attendee’s trip: “Arrive Ready” pre-event communications and travel guidance, “Stay Ready” agendas that mix working sessions with breaks, and “Return Ready” post-event resources. Programming falls under four areas: mindset, nutrition, movement and recovery, from guided meditation and balanced menus to fitness classes and spa therapies. Hilton cites its own research finding that 67% of attendees feel less engaged when events lack meaningful downtime.

What it means for group sales teams

For hotel sales and catering teams, the launch changes what goes into a group proposal. Wellness elements such as menu timing, movement breaks and recovery space become line items a planner can ask for by name, so banquet event orders, space allocation and F&B costing need a way to carry them. Hilton says the framework runs on each property’s existing amenities and services, and that a planner guide is available now through its World’s Most Welcoming Events initiative, with more tools and resources due in the new year.

The release gives no pricing and no list of participating hotels. Independent and competing hotels answering the same RFPs should expect planners to ask for a comparable wellness package. Hilton’s last guest-facing change we covered was Pay with Points at digital check out in the Hilton Honors app, and before that Hilton naming Jeff Moore of Uber as chief technology officer.
