Cloudbeds announced on October 20 an integration with Muse, Meta’s personal AI agent, so that participating hotels show live rates and availability inside Muse and take the booking through their own Cloudbeds Booking Engine.

According to the Cloudbeds release, reservations flow into the Cloudbeds PMS as direct bookings. The integration starts rolling out to Cloudbeds customers in the United States in the first quarter of 2027, as part of the vendor’s Digital Marketing solutions. Cloudbeds CEO Adam Harris said the booking lands “in the hotelier’s own system, as a direct booking, with the guest relationship intact.”

What the two announcements say about checkout

Meta introduced Muse on September 8 as an agent that can handle tasks such as booking travel, and says it checks with the person before it sends an email or makes a purchase. On payment, Meta says Muse can check out with Link built by Stripe, which generates a one-time-use card. The Cloudbeds release describes the booking as completed through the hotel’s own booking engine. Neither document says how the two fit together, so how a Muse guest’s payment reaches the property is still open.

What it means for operators

In our reading, two groups at US hotels on Cloudbeds have something to settle before the Q1 2027 rollout. Revenue and distribution leads need a way to tag Muse bookings in their channel reports. Finance and front-office leads need to know how those payments settle and reconcile. Our coverage of Booking Holdings’ Vayo travel agent noted that its release did not say whether planned direct bookings would route through Booking Holdings brands or straight to hotels. The Cloudbeds release states the hotel route, for Cloudbeds customers only. It names no other PMS or booking-engine vendor.

Operators on other systems can ask their vendor whether a Muse connection is planned and how payments would settle. Distribution teams weighing this against OTA volume can also read our report on Booking.com ending guest phone numbers to hotel systems.
